Assembly & Colouring

The whole set of diorama in 1:48 scale, it contains Hasegawa A7E Corsair II, Hasegawa US Ground Crew Set A, Verlinden Production Navy Aircraft Preparation Set (Resin), and finally the Base is custom build by plastic plate. 

The first step is A7E, since the quality and details on this model kit is excellent, so only few place on landing gear section is modified according to the attached picture. Assembly of this aircraft is very simple, just assembly, vanish and colour the main body, landing gear, external stores separately, and join them all in final stage. Around 70% of work load on this aircraft is painting and weathering, airbrush black/grey (de-saturated) for simulate the oil dirt on Navy aircraft, and the colour retouch and weathering over the decal is necessary. 

Secondly is US ground crew, some modification is made on their helmet and posture,mix-putty is major material for the modification. Apply colour and make shadow for the figure. 

Thirdly is Aircraft Preparation Kits, Verlinden’s resin kits have good quality and always my favors, as same as the figures apply colour and make shadow. 

Finally is the Base, here I am using Sandpaper, sculpt the texture by mixing of limes and colour, simulate tire trace by airbrush, dry brush for the runway.
